Service Execeptions

No clocks! Most people believe that clocks work the same way watches do, just larger. That's not the case. We simply do not have the tools or expertise to repair you clock. Not even the little ones. Please do not bring your clocks into the shop as our jeweler is a chronomentrophobe (yes, seriously). 

Most Costume (non-precious metal) jewelry is made from an alloy of unknown metals. This means we are unable to solder or weld these metals. Since we can't provide the standard of quality that we can with precious metals, we do not work on costume jewelry. 

Pearl restringing is a specialty in the jewelry industry. It requires a special set of skills that our jeweler has neglected and actively avoided throughout his career. There are still craftspeople out there that do this work, but they are expensive and hard to find. Sorry, but we don't know where to refer you for this service.  

We do not currently offer Laser Engraving but we hope to soon. We DO offer hand-engraving of jewelry but can only provide this service on precious metal items. Non-precious metal jewelry and giftware is typically done with a laser that GoldWorx does not currently own. Hopefully that will change shortly and we will add it to our list of in-house services. 

Over the last decade, finding quality parts for vintage & antique watches has become increasingly difficult, bordering on impossible. We can spend a lot of time searching for parts and still come up empty. As such, the labor costs have become untenable and unfair for our clients. So instead of spending months looking to then disappoint our customers, we prefer to give you the bad news immediately, before you get your hopes up that your heirloom watch may be able to be serviced.
